Placenta to Land Ebook: Remembering placenta as integral to Earth based wellness

$20.00

There is so much to say, so much to learn about placenta, about my own cultural connection to it, about the traditions and protocols attached to it.

This Ebook is an easy to read, easy to digest introduction to placenta care principles from a practical and spiritual lens.

It would be easy to feel incapacitated by wanting to do this subject justice. It would be easy to not speak or write about this sacred organ, the placenta and the stories that come along with this exploration for fear of leaving something out or not saying the "right" thing. This ebook is, by no stretch of the imagination, a completed exploration. It is merely a tiny drop in the ocean of wisdom surrounding placenta and the learnings yet to come for me. I trust you will receive this work with the intention it was written, which is to simply share what I have learnt so far and to begin to again normalise speaking about placenta with the reverence it deserves.

I named this Ebook Placenta to Land based on the Māori cultural practice of Whenua ki te Whenua (placenta to land) Burying the placenta in land that is signicant to the child supports their wellbeing and in feeling a sense of belonging in their family, community and on their homelands. It gives the child a place to return to, a home. It helps them to land on Earth.

Placenta to land for me says that the valuing of and care given to the placental birth and aftercare supports a child to land fully in their human body, into their family systems and onto planet Earth.

The intention of this ebook is to spark awareness of placenta care as foundational to earth based connection and wellness, the completion of our birth process and the foundation of our families.
